The Nazia Hassan Foundation, named after the famous Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan in the UK, was dissolved due to the negligence of the trustees. The Charity Commission says that the trustees of the charity have not submitted the report of the foundation for 1000 days The process of removing the foundation from the register of charities has begun.

The Charity Commission maintains that it is the responsibility of the trustees to submit the annual report.

Nazia Hassan's brother Zohaib Hassan said that his mother was the chairperson of Maneza Basir Foundation but the foundation was inactive in the UK due to her mother's ill health. On the other hand, the charity commission said that the foundation was dissolved not because it was inactive but because it did not meet the legal requirements. According to him, the foundation had been inactive for many years and there was hardly any income.
